Nicole's background is in counselling, alternative medicine and lifestyle coaching. She has spent over 8 years studying, not only counselling but various personal development models. Her own personal journey is one filled with struggles and pain. Overcoming huge obstacles in her life, has given her a genuine passion to work with people in emotional pain, and a unique empathy that can not be learned from a text book. In my own words she is Q.B.E (qualified by experience). Suffering in life is inevitable for all of us, however how we approach this suffering can be the making or the breaking of us. In Nicole's life she has learnt that "It's not what happens to me, but my response to it that matters".
Trained as a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist primarilly, this is a style of counselling that helps to address unhelpful thinking patterns in a timely manner. Additionally she has experience with Neuro Linguistic programming, EFT (Emotional Freedom technique) and Solution focused therapy. What she learned from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is what we tell ourselves (self talk in our mind) directly influences how we feel. In other words, by identifying what we say to ourselves, becoming conscious of these thoughts and retraining our minds with truth cards, we can alter our thinking, therefore changing how we feel.
After years of counselling, she is putting her energy into creating psychological resource packs for the average person with everyday issues.
